Privacy
Updated November 8, 2026
This is a one-product store. There is no account to create, no password to remember and no customer file on our server. This page says exactly what is kept, where, and for how long.
Who we are
SledGlow is an online store selling a lighting kit in Canada. We are a reseller: we did not manufacture the kit.
Questions about this page, or about anything we hold on you, go to admin@sledglow.com.
What is stored on your device
Four cookies, and only these four. None of them carries a name, an address or an identifier that could be traced back to you:
lang — the language you are reading in, so the site opens in it next time. One year.
sg_market — the market your prices are read in. 30 days.
sg_cart_id — the reference of your basket at Shopify, so what you put in it is still there when you come back. 30 days. It is readable only by the server, never by scripts in the page.
sg_consent — set when you change the measurement setting on the privacy page, so your choice holds. Six months. It records that one answer and nothing else.
All four are needed for the site to work the way you asked it to, so they are set without asking. Clearing your browser data removes them.
What we do not do
No account, no password, no newsletter from this site. No advertising or tracking cookie from anyone. Nothing about you is sold, rented or shared for marketing, by us or by anyone we work with.
The browser never talks to Shopify while you are on these pages. The site reads the catalogue and manages the basket from the server, so Shopify does not see your visit until you choose to go to the checkout.
Measurement, and how to turn it off
This site loads Microsoft Clarity, a tool from Microsoft Corporation. Clarity records how a page was used — where a pointer moved, what was clicked, how far a page was scrolled — and replays it as an anonymous session, which is more than counting visits. We use it to find out which parts of the page are confusing.
You can turn it off on this page, with the switch at the bottom. Once it is off, the Clarity script is not in the page at all and the browser is not even allowed to reach Microsoft's domains — the refusal is honoured rather than displayed. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, nothing loads whatever is set here.
Turning it off costs one click and changes nothing else about the site. You can change it back at any time, right here.
The checkout belongs to Shopify
When you go to the checkout you leave this site for a Shopify domain. Your name, your delivery address, your email and your payment are collected there by Shopify Inc., under Shopify's own privacy policy and on Shopify's own servers.
Card numbers never reach us and are never stored by us. What we see afterwards is the order in the Shopify admin: what was bought, the colours chosen for each kit, and the address to send it to. That is what we need to ship it.
Where the site runs
These pages are served by Hostinger. Like any web server, it writes technical logs — an IP address, a date, a page, a browser version — which exist so the site can be kept running and are not used to build any picture of a visitor.
Your rights
In Québec, Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector applies; elsewhere in Canada, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act does. Under both you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and withdraw a consent you gave.
Write to admin@sledglow.com and say what you are asking for. If you are in Québec and our answer does not satisfy you, you can take the matter to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Changes to this page
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
Measurement
Measurement is on for this browser. Microsoft Clarity is loading on these pages. Turning it off takes one click and changes nothing else about the site.
